Angeline & Laurin - The Faces Behind Secend

A woman from Lucerne and a man from Graubünden, who now live together in Zurich. We were fortunate enough to travel the world as models for many years – but the more we saw, the stronger our desire grew to make a meaningful impact.

The "aha!" moment came in Berlin, in a small "rescue market" at Ostbahnhof: high-quality food at great prices, simply because the best-before date was approaching or just slightly passed. For us, it was clear: that's no reason to throw away good products.

Back in Switzerland, we researched and quickly realized: the best-before date is a guideline. Many things are still perfectly edible weeks or even months beyond it.

That's how Secend was born. A passion project with which we want to show that rescuing food can be simple. With us, you get rescued products online, conveniently delivered to your home – with great discounts.

Our Mission

In Switzerland, a third of all food ends up in the trash. That's around 330 kg per person per year! For us, this is not just an environmental issue, but also an ethical one: while many go hungry, we throw away perfectly edible food.

With Secend, we want to change that. Together with producers and wholesalers, we rescue food before it is disposed of – and make it accessible to everyone. In doing so, we raise awareness, promote sustainability, and show: Together, we can achieve great things.
