For this product, Pakka collaborates with Silk Road Organic Foods, a fair-trade certified partner company from Uzbekistan. The raw material is harvested by smallholder farmers from wild collection areas around Samarkand. Through direct trade and Fairtrade premiums, farmers are supported – including pre-financing of harvests and new sales channels in Europe.
